BactoLoxx® for bacteria removal is a natural absorbent that is used in our EnviroSoxx™ portfolio, especially designed for storm water pollution prevention practices, such as sediment control, check dams, inlet protection, biofiltration and bioretention systems. It is used to reduce coliform bacteria loads in storm water runoff, particularly near animal feeding operations, pet frequented areas, and urban watersheds where bacteria in runoff is an issue. Specific coliforms targeted by this product include, but are not limited to, genera Escherichia, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, and Citrobacter, including E. coli and fecal coliforms.

It is used to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus loads in storm water runoff, particularly on fertilized soils such as agricultural lands or golf. Filtrexx nutrient removal technology is a natural material that chemically absorbs soluble phosphorus and nitrogen (ammonium-N, NH4+-N) in water and storm water; thereby reducing transport to water bodies, reducing bioavailability to aquatic plants, and minimizing algae blooms, eutrophication, and low dissolved oxygen levels that can lead to fish kill and collapse of aquatic ecosystems.

It is designed to support storm water management, sediment & erosion control and pollutant removal Best Management Practices (BMPs). It is generally used in areas where delimiting at risk areas and diverting, cleaning and filtering storm water runoff is critical. SiltSoxx™ is often used in combination with other sediment control systems to create a complete solution. Most typical applications are check dam, concrete washout, inlet protection, perimeter control, runoff diversion, slope interruption, sediment traps and diverse filtration systems.
